這首〈鄉村路帶我回家〉鄉村歌曲是John Denver所唱，發行於1971年 ，選自他個人第四張專輯"Poems, Prayers and Promises"當中，在當時可說是相當成功，雖然這首單曲在美國只獲得亞軍，卻在美國以外的許多國家拿到冠軍，在台灣也很受歡迎，一直到現在很多人還是非常喜歡這首歌．令人惋惜的是，John Denver在1997年10月12日駕駛自己的輕型飛機發生空難，享年53歲．另外還有一個版本是Olivia Newton John唱的
